After a long phase of Corona-Lockdown and with all necessary precautions, we decided to develop a concept for the celebration of the 90th. National Day, which brings the entertainment to the people. We produced 3 floats with different themes, celebrating the heritage of Saudi Arabia, appreciating its culture and promoting pride in the country and its rich history. Special attention was paid to the narrative of the float parade, showcasing local and authentic artists like Arda Performers, Calligraphy and Poetry Artists mixed with young Saudi Talents performing Parkour Stunts and acrobatic shows.
The floats were produced locally following international technical guidelines for parade and float productions. Different to other float parades, we planned some performance stops in selected parks of Diriyah, so that we could ensure that safety measurements and covid-19 precautions would be followed. The result was an undivided media attention and over 6.5Mio. viewers on our twitter messages.
